Grimpeur Phoebe
|
Ever since I learned about the 'other colors' that Burmese come in, I have always loved the blue. When I lost Pandora in August, 1995, there could never be another personality to take her place. But, the house was empty without a blue. In a small degree, I feel like I have Pandora back with me through Panda's granddaughter, Grimpeur Phoebe of Moonmaid. I was on a ten-day camping trip just north of Portland, and took the time to visit Barbara and Curtis Grafton of Grimpeur Cattery. Over the years, the Graftons have acquired three kittens from Moonmaid for breeding. In June, 1996, I returned the favor with an impulse purchase of Phoebe. Phoebe was absolutely everything that I look for in a Burmese: soft silky coat, no noticable barring, good eye color, and personality plus. Phoebe was a natural retriever, a quality that I was hoping she would pass on to her kittens (but, when rhinotracheitis came to our house, everyone was spayed). How long did it take to fall in love with her? About 10 minutes! |
